Alliance Manufacturing, Inc., a Fond du Lac based manufacturer of parts washers, was looking for a way to give back to the community it has called home since 1994. In the fall of 2017, Alliance donated a CleanParts 2836F Shop Series parts washer to the automotive department at Moraine Park Technical College. CleanParts, a division of Alliance, offers economical cabinet-style parts washers which are primarily used in the automotive, job shop, repair, and remanufacturing industries.
Using an automated parts washer allows the automotive technician students to spend more time learning their trade as opposed to manually cleaning the grease and oils off of engine parts. The students at Moraine Park are actively learning through real-life experiences repairing customer vehicles. Efficiency is a key factors in getting the students the hands-on experiences they need in the automotive repair industry. In addition to providing the students a more efficient learning environment, the students also see the value in partnering with local manufacturing businesses to enhance their learning experiences. Jim Daniels, Automotive Technician Instructor at Moraine Park said regarding the donation, “At Moraine Park Technical College our mission is ‘Preparing students for success in a diverse and globally connected world.’ Support from local industry like Alliance Manufacturing helps us to achieve this mission. Having equipment in our lab that is manufactured here in Fond du Lac shows the commitment to education of our local industry.”
Alliance Manufacturing and CleanParts are dedicated to the Fond du Lac community as well as the economic success of the state of Wisconsin. Alliance is a growing company located in the West Industrial Park and recently surpassed the 900th machine sold.
